Senior Adult Ministry

Purpose

The SHBC Senior Adult Ministry has a desire to have a Purpose in all that we do.  Purpose to Serve, to Worship, to make a difference, to love and support, to fellowship with others, and to share the love of Christ.  We have many activities and events for our senior adults and we have a blast!  We sing, we play, we travel, we learn, we laugh, and we do it all on Purpose!

Psalm 71:

"You have guided me through my precarious youth, now I need Your grace for my senior years.  Fill my heart with Purpose and my mouth with praises so I may continue to proclaim Your name and Your salvation to all who listen."

If you have, or have had an Alzheimer's patient in your immediate family, this group is designed to encourage, share, and learn from each other.  The support group meets once a month.

B.A.L.L. Club

This is for anyone who enjoys fun, food, fellowship, and entertainment.  We meet the 4th Monday night of most months for dinner together followed by an entertaining and inspiring program.

Bible Study

We have many different Sunday morning bible studies that you can get invloved in.

In-Touch

This is our ministry to SHBC members who no longer are able to participate in the fellowship ministries on the SHBC campus.  individuals and families volunteer to make personal visits, send cards, and make a phone call to let them know they are still a part of our church family.

Jubilee Singers

For those who love music, worship, ministry, and fun!  We have weekly rehearsals at 3:30 pm on Wednesdays to prepare us for singing several times a year in worship services.  We also travel and sing concerts and musicals.

Movie Matinee

Lights, camera, action!  Grab your popcorn and let the show begin.  We show great wholesome movies with lots of free snacks. It's a great time to gather with friends, kick back, and enjoy the show.
