Children's Ministry

Our ministry to boys and girls in grades 1-6 is committed to nurturing children into a personal, exciting and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping families for spiritual growth.

Parents, we at Southern Hills Baptist Church accept the responsibility to partner with you to raise spiritually mature kids who love Jesus and who understand Christianity as a lifestyle and not a Sunday experience.

We have a wonderful opportunity to impact the lives of children for Christ in these young, impressionable years. We realize this opportunity is a challenge as we compete with worldly temptations for the hearts of today's boys and girls.

We want every child in our ministry to know and love the Bible, be comfortable navigating through it, and how to apply its teachings to everyday life. We teach kids how they can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and, through the power of that relationship, do great things for God.

Summer Events Facts

DATE NIGHT - June 24th 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Bring the kids birth through completed 6th grade to the church for some fun and games while you parents enjoy an evening out. Cost is $5 per child with a family max of $20. Sign up at the Preschool/Children's Welcome Desk 1st floor Children's building by Sunday, June 19th. Remember to invite unchurched friends to join you!

PLAYCATION - June 30th - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Babies through completed 6th grade will enjoy a day of fun while Mom enjoys a day out. Cost is $5 per child. School age children will enjoy a tour of some of the state's historical sights while preschoolers enjoy planned activities at the church. Reservations and payment MUST be made by Sunday, June 26. This is another opportunity to invest in and invite unchurched neighbors and friends!
